Coverage Terms

Warranty Coverage

TZFoundry provides warranty coverage for foundry equipment manufactured and sold by Qingdao Tianzhuang casting Machine Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. This warranty applies to clay sand processing lines, lost foam casting systems, and resin sand production equipment purchased directly from us.

Standard Warranty Period

12 months from the date of equipment commissioning at your facility, or 18 months from the date of shipment from our factory in Qingdao, whichever comes first.

What the Warranty Covers

  • Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
  • Structural frame failures due to welding defects or material flaws
  • Hydraulic system component failures (cylinders, pumps, valves) resulting from manufacturing defects
  • Electrical control system malfunctions caused by component defects or assembly errors
  • PLC and HMI failures due to manufacturing issues

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

  • Normal wear and tear (hydraulic seals, proximity sensors, solenoid valves, conveyor belts)
  • Damage caused by improper installation, operation, or maintenance
  • Modifications or repairs performed by unauthorized personnel
  • Damage from accidents, misuse, or operation outside specified parameters
  • Consumable parts (filters, gaskets, electrical contacts, wear plates)
  • Damage during shipping after equipment leaves our facility (covered by shipping insurance separately)
  • Equipment operated beyond rated capacity or in environmental conditions outside specifications
How to File a Claim

Required Information for Warranty Claims

  • Equipment model and serial number (found on the equipment nameplate)
  • Purchase order number and invoice date
  • Commissioning date (if applicable)
  • Detailed description of the failure, including error codes from the PLC system
  • Photos or videos showing the failure condition
  • Maintenance records demonstrating proper operation and upkeep

Claim Evaluation Process

Repair or Replacement

We determine whether to repair or replace defective components based on the failure mode and equipment condition. For critical components that affect production line operation (hydraulic pumps, PLC units, main drive motors), we ship replacement parts immediately and handle the defective part return separately to minimize your downtime.

On-Site Service

If remote diagnostics and part replacement cannot resolve the issue, we dispatch a service engineer to your facility. Travel and accommodation costs are covered by TZFoundry for warranty-eligible failures. Non-warranty service calls are billed at our standard service rates.

Returns

Return Policy

Returns are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Foundry equipment is custom-configured for each buyer's facility requirements, so standard return policies do not apply.

Eligible Return Conditions

  • Equipment shipped does not match the confirmed specifications in your purchase order
  • Manufacturing defects discovered during initial inspection before installation
  • Damage during shipping (must be documented with photos and carrier inspection report within 7 days of delivery)

Non-Returnable Conditions

  • Equipment has been installed, commissioned, or put into production use
  • Custom-configured systems built to your specific layout and capacity requirements
  • Buyer's remorse or change in project requirements after order confirmation
  • Equipment purchased through distributors or third-party resellers (returns handled by the reseller)

Restocking Fees

Approved returns for reasons other than manufacturing defects or shipping errors are subject to a 20% restocking fee to cover inspection, repackaging, and administrative costs.

Spare Parts and Extended Warranty

Spare Parts Availability

We maintain inventory of critical spare parts for all equipment models manufactured in the past 10 years. Standard lead time for spare parts orders is 7-15 days via express courier. We ship first-year spare parts kits with every production line order, covering the consumables you'll need during the warranty period.

Extended Warranty Options

Extended warranty coverage beyond the standard 12/18-month period is available at the time of purchase. Extended plans cover an additional 12 or 24 months and include priority technical support and discounted spare parts pricing. Contact our sales team for extended warranty pricing based on your equipment configuration.

Legal

Limitation of Liability

TZFoundry's liability under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective components. We are not liable for:

  • Consequential damages including lost production, lost profits, or business interruption
  • Costs of removing or reinstalling equipment for warranty service
  • Damage to other equipment or property caused by equipment failure
  • Labor costs for repairs performed by your maintenance team (parts-only warranty)

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have additional rights depending on your local jurisdiction.
